Return and Refund Policy

Thank you for shopping with Cozy Canvas. This Return and Refund Policy explains how returns, refunds, replacements, cancellations, withdrawal requests, and damaged-order claims are handled for purchases made through our store.

By placing an order with Cozy Canvas, you agree to this policy.

1. General Return Policy

All sales are considered final once an order has been processed, fulfilled, or shipped, except where a return, refund, replacement, cancellation, or withdrawal is required by applicable law or approved by Cozy Canvas Staff under this policy.

We may accept returns only when the item is:

  • unused or only handled as reasonably necessary to inspect it;

  • in its original condition;

  • in its original packaging where possible;

  • not damaged, altered, washed, modified, customized, or misused;

  • returned with proof of purchase;

  • approved by us before being sent back.

Customers must contact Cozy Canvas Staff before returning any item. Items sent back without prior approval, without a valid return authorization, or to the wrong return address may be refused and may not be eligible for a refund.

2. Return Window

For non-EU customers, return requests must be submitted within 7 days of delivery.

After 7 days from the delivery date, we may refuse the return request unless applicable law requires otherwise.

For customers located in the European Union, the EU withdrawal rules in Section 13 may apply.

3. Non-Returnable Items

We do not accept returns for:

  • items that have been used beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect them;

  • items damaged by misuse, improper handling, accidents, wear and tear, water damage, or unauthorized modification;

  • items with missing parts, packaging, manuals, accessories, or components;

  • items returned without approval or return authorization;

  • items sent to the wrong return address;

  • items marked as final sale, clearance, promotional, or discounted, unless applicable law requires otherwise;

  • customized or personalized items;

  • orders delayed due to shipping carriers, customs, incorrect addresses, failed delivery attempts, fulfillment delays, or events outside our control;

  • buyer’s remorse after the product has been processed or shipped, unless we approve the return or applicable law requires otherwise.

Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable consumer rights that may apply by law, including any applicable EU withdrawal rights.

4. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, you must contact Cozy Canvas Staff within 48 hours of delivery.

To review your claim, we may require:

  • your order number;

  • clear photos or videos of the item;

  • photos of the packaging;

  • a description of the issue;

  • any other information reasonably needed to verify the claim.

If we determine that the item was damaged, defective, or incorrect due to our error or a fulfillment issue, we may offer, at our discretion:

  • a replacement;

  • a store credit;

  • a partial refund;

  • a full refund.

We reserve the right to deny claims that are incomplete, submitted late, fraudulent, exaggerated, caused by misuse, or unsupported by evidence.

If applicable law requires a specific remedy, we will follow the requirements of that law.

Cozy Canvas products are creative novelty items designed for colouring, decorating, display, relaxation, and personal enjoyment. Product features may vary depending on the exact model purchased, including blanket size, fabric type, printed design, included accessories, colouring method, and care instructions.

Cozy Canvas products are intended to be used only as directed. Colouring results may vary depending on the markers, inks, colouring tools, pressure applied, washing method, drying method, fabric condition, and user handling.

We are not responsible for issues caused by:

  • using markers, paints, inks, or colouring tools that are not suitable for the product;
  • improper colouring, excessive pressure, bleeding, smudging, or staining;
  • washing, drying, ironing, bleaching, or cleaning the product incorrectly;
  • water exposure before the colouring has fully dried or set;
  • using the product on unsuitable surfaces;
  • cutting, tearing, stretching, or modifying the product;
  • pet damage, stains, odours, or contamination;
  • failure to follow care instructions;
  • normal wear and tear;
  • differences in colour, texture, size, or appearance due to screen settings, lighting, manufacturing, or customer use.

Cozy Canvas does not guarantee that colouring will appear exactly as shown in photos, advertisements, or examples. Final results may vary based on the customer’s colouring choices, materials used, and care of the product.

6. Refunds

Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method when possible.

Refund processing times depend on your bank, card provider, payment processor, or Shopify Payments. Cozy Canvas Staff is not responsible for delays caused by banks, card issuers, or payment processors.

Shipping fees, handling fees, insurance fees, customs fees, duties, taxes, and other third-party charges are non-refundable unless required by law or unless the refund is due to our verified error.

For EU withdrawal requests where the legal right of withdrawal applies, we will refund the eligible amount required by applicable EU consumer law. Any additional shipping upgrade selected by the customer, return shipping cost, customs charges, duties, taxes, or third-party fees may remain non-refundable unless applicable law requires otherwise.

7. Return Shipping Costs

Unless the return is due to our verified error, a defective item, an incorrect item, or applicable law requires otherwise, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.

For approved returns, customers must return the item to the return address provided by Cozy Canvas Staff. This return address may be the address of our worldwide distributor, fulfillment partner, or another designated return facility. The return address may be different from the address shown on the original package.

Customers must not return items to the original sender address, shipping label address, or manufacturer address unless we specifically instruct them to do so in writing.

We strongly recommend using a trackable shipping method. Cozy Canvas Staff is not responsible for returned items that are lost, stolen, delayed, damaged in transit, refused, or sent to the wrong address.

The customer is responsible for any return-related postage, packaging, customs forms, duties, taxes, or carrier fees unless the return is due to our verified error or applicable law requires otherwise.

8. Cancellations and Order Changes

Orders may only be cancelled or changed if the request is made before the order has been processed, packed, fulfilled, or shipped.

Because orders may be processed quickly, we cannot guarantee that cancellation or change requests will be accepted.

Once an order has been processed or shipped, it cannot be cancelled, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

For EU customers, the right of withdrawal in Section 13 may apply after delivery, unless an exception applies.

9. Incorrect Shipping Information

Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete shipping information at checkout.

We are not responsible for orders that are delayed, lost, returned, or delivered incorrectly because of:

  • incorrect names;

  • wrong addresses;

  • missing apartment, unit, or buzzer numbers;

  • incorrect postal codes;

  • refused delivery;

  • failed delivery attempts;

  • unclaimed packages.

If an order is returned to sender because of customer-provided information or failed delivery, the customer may be responsible for reshipping fees.

10. Chargebacks and Fraudulent Claims

If you believe there is an issue with your order, please contact Cozy Canvas Staff first so we can try to resolve it.

We reserve the right to dispute chargebacks, provide order records to payment processors, and refuse future service to customers who submit fraudulent claims, abusive disputes, false statements, or repeated chargebacks.

Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws.

11. Legal Rights

Nothing in this policy limits, excludes, or replaces any non-waivable rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws.

If any part of this policy conflicts with mandatory consumer protection laws that apply to your purchase, the mandatory legal requirement will apply only to the extent required by law.

12. EU Right of Withdrawal

If you are a consumer located in the European Union and you purchase a non-custom, non-personalized physical product from Cozy Canvas online, you may have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving your order without giving a reason, unless an exception applies.

To exercise your EU right of withdrawal, you must notify us before the 14-day withdrawal period expires. You may contact us at melodymagnetusa@gmail.com or use any online withdrawal function provided on our website, if available.

Your withdrawal request should include:

  • your full name;

  • your order number;

  • the email address used for the order;

  • the item you wish to withdraw from;

  • a clear statement that you wish to withdraw from the purchase.

If your withdrawal request is accepted under applicable EU law, we will provide return instructions and a designated return address. The designated return address may be the address of our worldwide distributor, fulfillment partner, or another return facility. Customers must not return items to the original shipping address unless we specifically instruct them to do so in writing.

Even when an EU withdrawal right applies, the customer is responsible for paying the return shipping cost back to our designated return address, including postage, packaging, customs forms, duties, taxes, carrier fees, or other return-related charges, unless the item is defective, incorrect, damaged due to our verified error, or applicable law requires otherwise.

Returned items must be sent back within 14 days after you notify us that you are exercising your right of withdrawal, unless applicable law provides otherwise.

We may withhold the refund until we have received the returned item or until you provide proof that the item has been sent back, whichever occurs first, where permitted by law.

Items must be returned in a condition that allows us to resell them. If the item has been used, damaged, altered, modified, or handled beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect it, we may deduct an appropriate amount from the refund where permitted by law.

The EU right of withdrawal may not apply to certain items, including but not limited to:

  • custom-made or personalized products;

  • products made using customer-submitted images, files, names, music selections, or customization details;

  • sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health or hygiene reasons once unsealed;

  • items that have been damaged, modified, misused, or handled beyond what is necessary to inspect them;

  • any other products excluded from withdrawal rights under applicable law.

This section applies only where the EU right of withdrawal is legally required. It does not create additional return rights for customers outside the European Union unless required by applicable law or approved by Cozy Canvas Staff.
